Equipment required: Each nominated player should bring their own football boots, shin pads, playing kit, water and a packed lunch/snacks.
There will be no canteen facilities, please pack your own lunch, water bottle and snacks.

A copy of the consent form is to be taken to the trials and given to the Western Convener.
The day’s program will include a warm up, skill session and drill session (10:00am-11:30am). Following the morning session, players will participate in a series of games (12:00pm-2:00pm). From there, the Western Region Team will be announced.
Successful players will receive an information package and will be required to provide their uniform size to the Convener.
WSSA Secondary Boys Football Selection Criteria:
Players will be selected on the basis of the following:
- Whether or not they demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Have the ability to confidently perform the minimum standard of football skills required.
- Have an understanding of the different roles and formations on a football field.
- Have the ability to work within a team environment.
- Can present themselves in a professional manner.
Students are only to attend this trial if they are prepared to attend the NSW CHS Championship in Kellyville, Sydney on 26th - 28th May 2026.
The levy if you are selected in the Western Region team will be approximately $200-. (including uniform)
There are other possible costs that need to be considered, such as travel and accommodation.
Transport for these Western Region trials will be by private car. Can you please indicate on the consent form attached who your child will be travelling with to this trial, and complete the relevant details.
Anyone who withdraws from a Western SSA team citing any reason covered above may receive a 12 month suspension from all WSSA activities.
NB. Any student who feels they may not be able to represent due to financial reasons should speak to both their Principal and the Western Sports Office before the trials.
