Lisa Warrener - Rouse Hill HS
Lisa Warrener found her introduction into school sport in 1998 by coaching various boys and girls football grade and knockout teams. Lisa became both the Hills Zone Softball and Football convener. In 2004 she was elected to the position of Sydney West Girls Football convener and coach, a position that she still holds today. Lisa is also the Macquarie Sports Zone treasurer and has been since 2017.
Lisa transferred to Rouse Hill HS in 2015 to the maths department. The following year she had taken on the role as the school sports organiser, where she coordinates approximately 650 students for Wednesday afternoon sport, as well as organising knockouts, gala days, writing VOR’s, organising major carnivals, collating permission notes, booking buses, completing purchase orders, and, of course, corresponding with parents.
Lisa’s passion is football. Some of her many achievements include; NSW Sapphires player from 2000 - 2003, NSW All Schools Football manager, Central Coast Mariners assistant manager from 2008 – 2010, coach of the 2011 Australian Schoolgirls team to China and Japan, manager of the 2012 Australian Schoolgirls team to the UK and Ireland, the assistant manager for the Western Sydney Wanderers in 2013 and 2014, both a Sydney West Life Member and NSWCHSSA Football Silver Life Member, as well as the 2018 NSW All Schools Football coach.
In all of these positions, Lisa has always shown the ability to provide very professionally organised events at which the grass roots students, as well as the gifted and talented students of Sydney West, and others across Australia, have had the opportunity to display and further develop their talents in chosen sports.
Lisa’s comments and suggestions have always been highly regarded, due in part to both her dedication to school and community sport, and also because she is a valued member of her school community.
